The WEGO Health Awards is the only awards program that recognizes the efforts of patient advocates, influencers and experts within healthcare. In 2011, the WEGO Health Awards were created to celebrate those who tirelessly support the mission of WEGO Health: to empower the patient voice. Having grown from its beginning stages, this year’s WEGO Health Awards drew in close to 2,500 nominees, nearly 30,000 endorsements, 80 finalists and 16 winners.

For the first time, the WEGO Health Awards added a live component to the celebration this year. Partnering with World Congress, the 16 2017 winners will be honored live, in person at the WEGO Health Awards Dinner Ceremony held in conjunction with the 5th Annual Patient Advocacy Summit on October 23 in Arlington, VA.

WEGO Health CEO Jack Barrette shared his excitement about the union with the World Congress, “This partnership with the World Congress will strengthen our ability to not only recognize inspiring and impactful Patient Leaders, but it also provides us with the platform to really bring to light the importance of patient advocacy and the power of patient-centricity. This annual summit is something the health industry as a whole can benefit from and the speakers and agenda help to support this much-needed patient collaboration.”

This year’s WEGO Health Award winners won an entrance to the 5th Annual Patient Advocacy Summit, valued at $990, a $500 travel stipend to attend the dinner ceremony, personalized award plaque, and waived engagement fee on the WEGO Health Experts platform.
