What's Your Talent???

What talents or skills sets, that may not be typical for advocacy, do you use as part of your awareness, support and advocacy projects?

As for me, I am a certified dog trainer and animal psychologist. I often use my dogs, my parent's dogs, and friend's dogs as a part of my awareness initiatives also known as #Paws4Fibro and #Pets4Fibro. I also sing and have been known to sing a song or two to promote Fibromyalgia Awareness. I have also sung songs on social media to raise funds for non-profit Veteran Organizations.

What talents do you use to amplify your awareness and advocacy initiatives?

  1. I dreamed of a career on Broadway but was diagnosed with MS shortly after receiving my BFA in Musical Theatre. My passion for music & the arts became my purpose. I wrote and recorded my debut solo CD, “Believe” and created my one woman show which was a combination of my music along with my Multiple Sclerosis journey. I had the wonderful opportunity to perform my music across the United States. https://open.spotify.com/album/2GyeDJbCEGHltEkQrEP4Ha?si=nmknzAl2RIeq7fTpilpq9Q I also created and directed my short film, “The Show MuSt Go on” which explored some of the invisible symptoms of MS. I also created a live version of the film and did numerous workshops and patient experience/educational events. https://youtu.be/6oraM8IF2Gc?si=5K0nodGx5qTWOmU2 And I wrote my memoir, “DreaMS: My Journey with Multiple Sclerosis” and created a book discussion guide and book clubs across the USA. https://youtu.be/BUDGWL6Iit0
