Breaking Silos...

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

We often talk about "breaking the silo" within our own communities, but how often are we breaking silos, to collaborate with Patient Leaders in other spaces other than our own?

Is there a medical community, or patient leader in a different a community, you would like to collaborate with?

What are ways we can illicit discussions, to break down those barriers, and work in cross-collaboration to support each other's advocacy work and awareness projects?

  1. I would love to collaborate with anyone in the mental health community. I feel like that part of our healthcare is often lacking and needs to be discussed more. Great question and points . ~Racquel ~ social health network moderator

    1. we definitely need to look outside our own medical space, and reach out to other patients and advocates, to cultivate these discussions. It’s imperative to highlight how many of our symptoms parallel other medical conditions, and we often have the same co-existing medical conditions as well, including mental health.
