November is National Caregiver Month. It’s a month to celebrate the millions of people who care for their aging, disabled, chronically ill, or terminally ill friends and family members.
This week, we are sharing a story from patient leader Tonya Hidalgo, a writer at COPD.net. She blogs at The COPD Life and is the author of Traveling With COPD, a basic guide for traveling with extra equipment and oxygen. Her mother lived with COPD, and she was her co-caregiver for years.
In this article, she talks about how she went from a caregiver to a patient leader and advocate for her mother. Read the full article here at COPD.net.
