Menopause Patient Leader #FollowFriday – January 12th, 2018

Continuing with the women’s health theme this month, we’re featuring three remarkable menopause Patient Leaders. These women are removing the stigma surrounding menopause and working incredibly hard to empower women along the way.

Not only have these three decide to share their own stories, but they’ve all made it their mission to support and educate other women as they navigate this crucial phase of life.

Menopause education is my mission. Spurred by my own experience struggling with the symptoms of menopause, I have devoted the last ten years of my life to sharing the keys to the menopause kingdom on EllenDolgen.com.

I have “talked the talk” with countless menopause experts, to be able to “walk the menopause walk” and share my keys to this menopause kingdom with you. The information is delivered to you in layperson speak, along with a pinch of humor and a lot of love. My goal is for you to feel at home here as if you are having a cocktail with your best friend, who happens to know a lot about perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause. This free information will help to empower women to become their own health advocates.

Remember to always trust how you feel – you know when you don’t feel well. Reach out and get the help you need and deserve. You are not alone! EllenDolgen.com is always here for you….. even during those sleepless nights.

My motto is: Suffering in silence is OUT!  Reaching out is IN!”

I love being a women’s health advocate. By sharing my story, I quickly learned that one of the most important things for women to feel validated; to feel heard. There is comfort in learning you are not alone on this journey. Every day I have the privilege to interact with women and help them feel empowered with their own health. Midlife women are holding up our world right now so this is really important! And when women support women, amazing things happen.”

My humor blog addresses many of the symptoms of middle age, particularly those that occur during the menopausal years. By making light of the challenges we face in midlife, I’m reminding my readers that we’re in this phase together, and that life is too short to take too seriously. The stories I share on the blog create a sense of camaraderie among women in particular and help them realize we’re all in this crazy midlife/menopause thing together. Humor is essential in helping lessen the severity of the situation. The way I see it, you have two choices; you can either laugh or cry about the aging process, and I prefer to laugh.”
