HAWMC Day 18 – “I take it back…”

Today’s Prompt:

  • Write about a time that you lashed out at someone close to you because of frustration/fear/anger resulting from your health condition and you wish you could take it back. Forgive yourself and let it go.
  • On the flip side, write about a time that someone said something to you that they wished they could take back. Did you forgive them? Why or why not?

We’ve all been there.  In the heat of the moment, you lash out and say something you don’t mean or maybe you aren’t clear on a situation and accidentally offend something with your words.  We’ve all had moments we wish we could take back.

Today, write about a time that you needed to be forgiven and how that made you feel.  Or, write about a time where you were the one who had to decide whether to forgive or not.  Use your writing as therapy and work through the situation, try to see it from both sends.  Where do you end up?
