Milk  is one of the most common food allergies in American children, and eliminating milk products from their diet can be quite challenging. One easy way to avoid products containing milk is to eliminate processed foods from the diet as much as possible. Prepared foods such as cakes, cookies, breads, frozen meals, and even breakfast cereals frequently contain milk products. Stick to whole foods such as fruits, vegetables, and grains as much as possible. Preparing meals from scratch will give much more control over the ingredients going into your food, and will significantly decrease the chances of milk exposure. By avoiding processed foods and replacing them with fresh ingredients and homemade meals, you’ll also be providing your family with a more nutritious diet!
