Acceptance

After diagnosis with parkinsons I was frightened and confused. I wanted to learn as much as possible but took on too much. By limiting my research to reliable sites and joining a support group I can get enough accurate information without being overwhelmed.

Understanding that each Parkinson’s patient experiences symptoms and reactions to medication differently removed much of the accompanying anxiety. I try to stay positive and accept whatever I may have to deal with.

Although there’s a lot I can no longer do I need to be grateful for what I can. I am also blessed with 2 amazing caregivers and a loving family and supportive friends.
