WEGO Health Community Guidelines:
The following Community Guidelines are here to help you understand what it means to be a member of WEGO Health. Please keep in mind that your use of WEGO Health is subject to these Community Guidelines, WEGO Health’s Terms of Use, and Ning’s Terms of Service. If you have any questions about the Guidelines below, or if you see a violation of these guidelines on our site, please contact Community Managers Susan Mees and Marie Connelly at community@wegohealth.com

Enjoy Yourself
We hope that WEGO Health will be a place for you to meet other Health Activists who are just as passionate and engaged as you are. We aim to be a community for you to connect, share, learn and grow. Please have fun.

Be Respectful
WEGO Health welcomes Health Activists from all backgrounds, and encourages our members to participate in open, honest conversation. We recognize that there are many emotionally-charged topics when it comes to discussing health, and a wide range of opinions that accompany those topics; we expect our members to extend the respect and courtesy to others that they would expect be offered to them. WEGO Health is a place for open, constructive interaction. If we see inappropriate content, especially in the form of personal affronts, we reserve the right to remove it.

Being respectful also means respecting the medically-minded tone of the WEGO Health community. We expect all of our members to share information in good faith—meaning that it is accurate and truthful to the best of their knowledge. If you discover that you’ve inadvertently published something that’s inaccurate, please correct it as soon as possible.

As a member of WEGO Health, we also ask that you respect the team of people who work on the site, many of whom are volunteer Community Leaders. We rely on these individuals to help maintain a positive community experience for all of our members and reserve the right to review and remove any content that we believe is disruptive to the WEGO Health community.

Be Yourself
As a community of Health Activists, our members are always looking for the best resources and the newest information. As such, we encourage you to share links to other websites or communities where you participate online. While we don’t prohibit promotional and commercial postings, we do review them very closely—we reserve the right to review and remove any posts that detract from our mission.

WEGO Health does work with advertisers and sponsors, whose content is always clearly identified. Any content which is not approved by WEGO Health as advertising, serves only to promote a product or service, and does not provide educational value or a basis for community discussion, may be deleted at our discretion.

Being yourself also means sharing content that is your own—respect the copyright of others and don’t pass off their content as your own. If you wish to share articles, photos, videos, posts or other content created by someone else, make sure you give them proper attribution.

A note about content:
WEGO Health believes very strongly that you own what you’ve created and we don’t want to infringe upon that. Whether it’s a photo you’ve uploaded, a discussion you’ve started, or a blog post you’ve fed onto your profile page through an RSS feed—we recognize all these things belong to you. WEGO Health reserves the right to feature content created within our community and will always do so with the same attribution expectations that we ask of you.

It is also important to note that WEGO Health is a public community, and all forms of communication that take place on the site are treated as such. Material that you post may be indexed by search engines such a Google and Yahoo.
